and thats the way we do it we get a lil loopy of the ignorant fluid...

So apperarently, my posts aren't long enough. We'll see if I can fix it this time(probably not. Let's start with work. Last Friday, the guy I was training to be my replacement decided he didn't want to do it anymore. Great. So Dayne starts flipping, with good reason. Luckily, we interviewed a guy from one of the temp agencies, and he looks like he could be a keeper. Let's just hope he doesn't crap out like everyone else. I knew my job sucked, but I didn't realize it was this bad. The other two team leads actually had a fight about who would have to take it over. Not who would "get" to take it, but who "had" to take it. They even said they wouldn't take it for more pay. Dang nabbit. There was some good news though, the "Bitch" got fired. Thats right, the woman who made my life hell is no longer there. WOOHOO! but there is a "tails" to this little coin. Socrates is all funked up now, because I'm the only one who has more than half a clue of whats going on. All of a sudden, Staples is deciding that we can't backorder any items, but we still have to ship them on time. This basically means we're scrawd. Tuesday we have a meeting with the big wigs to discuss the fines we've been getting from staples. now, reading this, you may think, well fix it so you don't get any fines. Much easier said than done. For instance, we have to ship complete and on time. Those don't always go together. Also, there is a packet on shipping guidelines. When I say packet, I don't mean 3 or 4 sheets, this thing is a 43 page pdf file. Can you say Anal? I also heard through the grapevine, that if Socrates loses Staples, we lose Socrates. Personally, that would make me immensly happy, but the powers that be would be a little less than happy. And, as I've been on the account since the beginning, blame would fall completely on yours truely. Just like this week, somehow it was my fault that I didn't get twelve >2,500 lb orders out by tuesday. The problem is, I couldn't even see them until thursday...hmmm, anyone see a problem with this logic? I really hate Socrates...

Now on to sociality. I went on a great date last night, with a great girl. We went to see Kicking and Screaming, which was hilarious. First of all, it has Will Farrell. 'Nuff said. But, the kicker is, it also has "Da Coach". Thats right folks, Mike Ditka, the almighty, was in this movie. WOO! I couldn't help but laugh. The pre-movie part of the date was interesting too. We got to Northbrook Court at like 8:00, and the movie didn't start until 9:50. we decided to walk around a bit. We went into the store where I got Dawncandy her Blue moon sign, and we were quite dissapointed that they had no Notre Dame stuff, so we left. When I say, "we were wuite dissapointed", I mean mainly Megan. Then we went into a very random store, that had some college stuff. We went in, and lo and behold, there was a ND shot glass that she didn't have. We grabbed it, and continued to look around the store. There were some very neat liquor bottles that looked like they were pump action, but they didn't pump. Well, we were trying to figure it out, basically cause I think it would have drove me crazy, and the lady working came over. After maybe five minutes of trying and investigatin, Megan got hers to pump, followed shortly by myself and worker lady. So we looked at a few more things, including a "Tiffany's Table Manners for Teen's". Just so you know, don't blow your nose at the table. Anyway, we go to buy the glass and the lady figured it out to be 4.88. She then decides to figure out the change from a 20, but didn't use the calculator sitting right next to her. It would be fine if she was quicker with it, but it took her some time. I am not a genius by any means, but I know that if something is not exactly easy for me, I use a tool to help out. Maybe thats just me. We leave that store, and go into the love sac store. A love sac is a ginormous bean bag, but is filled with something that makes them uber comfortable. The place was being run by a couple of "free thinkers" which is the nice way to say, "Tree huggin', frisbee chuckin', gange smokin', dirty hippies". We walked in, Megan sat in a few chairs, and left. On the way out, they said thanks. Uh...no problem, we'll sit here anytime. So then we go and sit down. It's about 9:00 now, that means we have almost an hour of time to kill. We sat and talked for a while, and then went to the movie. So, there was the date, in a Pulp-Fiction-esque time line.

Today, I'm gonna go to dawns for a while to play some PS2, and then later her friend from school is coming over, along with some steves, a monika, and hopefully a Megan. This has been one of my longer posts...ever. I rock, but for now, my laundry is just about done, so I'm gonna make like a tree...and get the fook out(name the movie!) Later

...and act a lil stupid just in case you didn't knew it

"Well, I know it's kind of late..."

So, one helluva weekend just happened. We'll go from least exciting to most...

1) I went drinking last night, saw a bunch of people who were younger then me but from high school, and had some good conversations.

2) I bought a PS2..woo

3) friday-saturday night was Re-gahd-dammed-diculous. We go down to Wrigleyville to hang with monika and her friend from school. We left for the "L" at about 9-9:30. long story short...we got home at 6. Some highlights of the evening include:

"Maine, the deep south of the far north"
steve and I combo-flicking off the sox fans
randomly finding GBN people at the Cubby bear
Mike saying "If there was a soxy bear..."
Mistarz throwing the box onto the trash can...and it staying
Captain Wow, and captain sweet piece of ass
walking at least a mile and a half, and finding pizza only because I was too drunk/stubborn to turn back

and then there were more that I'm sure I forgot.

4) Saturday evening. Went out to park ridge and had an awesome time. First we went to Moretti's. We sat out on the patio, and it was really nice out. I'm not sure if our waitress wasn't told she had a table, or if she forgot, but it took her a bit of time to get to the table. Anyway...we had dinner and talked, and then we decided we'd go to a movie. We headed over to the Pickwick(coolest name ever?) and checked out what was playing. Star Wars was starting soon, but I'm pretty sure I would be shot by certain people if I went to see it. So we decided to take a walk around Park Ridge. After we went and saw Millions, a british Indy film.. I liked it, but it was kind of weird, and there were parts that weren't explained very well. Anyway. After the movie I took her back home.
It was one of the best times I've had in a while, and that just added to the whole weekend. In conclusin, I just hope I can have many more times like this all summer. Anywho.. Have a good one all...and I'll talk to you later.

"...I hope I didn't wake you"

P.S. What, no xanga entry?

'Cos tonight for the first time At just about half past ten..."

Things that enjoy taking it in the pooper:

1) gay men(nothing wrong with it)
2) p-nuts...but for reasons somewhat beyond his control
3) my parents...for not leaving
4)Dawn's re-final
5) The fact that I can't throw a succesful Bash
6) See Dawncandy's Blog
7) People who live in PO-dunk Wisconsin...and are name Dennis Lynn...and go by the name Fish...and are gay(because he is)

Now that all of that is out of the way, I should say I'm still in a very good mood :)

So I'm sitting here trying to think of lyrics that would match my mood right now, but I can't. I don't know why I can't, but it feels like nothing is quite right. Oh well. Party this friday night...casa de TFK, it should be fun. I'm quite excited for a few reasons, one of which being(knock on wood) that when I throw a shindig, people actually show up. There are other reasons I'm excited, but I won't get into that now...
What I will get into is the amount of weird people that go to the Subway at dundee and wolf. If you look back a few entries, you'll see one example. Well, Tonight Dawn(Candy ;)) and I had dinner there yet again, and I jokingly went to say grace. She said, "What, are we praying that no wierdo's come in?" We share a good laugh...but then it happens. this elderly couple comes in. Now you can tell(well, we could anyway) right away that they're going to be picky. Well listening to the lady order was like listening to david copperfield on tape. TOO MANY WORDS!!! anyway, they get to the end and the guy, being a good little coporate robot, asks if she would like a drink. She walks over to the fountain and says, "YOu don't have any caffiene free Diet Coke? You need to get caffiene free Diet coke. For that I will not be getting a drink" I'm not kidding folks. We have the reincarnation of Charles Dickens here. She then goes to sit down. Maybe 5 tables away is a gentleman quitly enjoying his sandwich, and she goes up to him and asks if she's blocking his view. WHAT?! now, you might be thinking, "Well, maybe she was senile, how can you make fun of a senile woman." If this is true, I recant all previous statements, but she seemed to have her a game going, all possible switches turned to on. Anyway. That's enough fun for today. Catch you kiddies on the back 40.

"It must be Thursday. I never could get the hang of Thursdays"

Middle English, from Old English thres dæg, alteration (influenced by Old Norse thrsdagr, Thor's day), of thunres dæg, Thor's day (translation of Late Latin Iovis dis, Jupiter's day) thunres, genitive of thunor, thunder; see (s)ten- in Indo-European Roots + dæg, day

This is an ode to Thursdays. You might say it is an ultimate ode to Thursdays. Whatever you call it...this is it.

Thursday...the fifth day of the week, fourth of the work week. The day after hump day. It's all downhill from here. Smooth sailing. Let's not get carried away, it's not Friday yet but it will be soon. In college, did Friday classess even count? I think not! So Thursday could be considered as an appetizer. It wets you appetite for what's yet to come. I mean, just look at the specials in bars on a thursday. (http://chicagospecials.com/thursday.asp) You can't beat that with a stick...even if it has a rusty nail on the end(*note*I do not condone trying to beat anything with a stick containing a rusty nail, unless of course that anything is something you really despise...like mondays) So to all Thursdays, all around the world...this one's for you.

Cheers

And Mona Lisa's and mad hatter's, sons of bankers, sons of lawyers...

That'll make a little more sense by the end of this post. Anywho...it's time for an update of TFK's life. Well, I'm hitting shit up, jared style. It's getting old, but it works. At least Dawn McDawnerson goes with me every once in a while, even if the place is crawling with potential window-lickers...let me explain.

First, We're sitting there, and this guy walks in. Mind you, we're sitting a good 15-20 feet from the door. This guy comes within inches of running into the back of Dawn's chair. Then, A guy leaving, runs into this "natural snack" display. The display is at least 4 feet tall and BRIGHT YELLOW. I wonder if he's ever hit a parked school bus. Next, there is a lady who probably weighs in at 350+lbs. I know that I'm no skinny minny, but I'd like to think that I would never get to that size. Anyway...this lady is ordering like six subs. Now, normally, I'd assume that she was ordering for a group. But she rattled off what everyone was going to have on it, and it wasn't written down. OK...maybe she memorized what everyone wanted...but I'm going to doubt it.

Anyway...work has been ok...not great by any means. Still getting screwed over on a daily basis, but I can handle it better now. Plus, I'm going down to 40 hours starting May 16th. That's right...going down to full time. 7-3:30, so I won't be able to come in earlier really. Unlike today, where I came in at 6:30. UGH. and I'm staying until 7...double UGH. Only a few more weeks though...then its relax-o-matic(not really, but I can dream).

Moving right along, I'm going to 2 weddings soon. One is memorial day weekend, and the next is the following weekend. Both for brothers. The first, I'm only going for the party...and staying there all weekend probably, so as to get completely funked up. The next one, I'm invited to the whole kit 'n' caboodle, plus a guest. On to the guest part. I had asked Monika originally, but she totally negged me. Then I asked one of steve's friends from school, but she thought it would be weird because her boyfriend would not like it. But, she did suggest a friend of hers I had met previously. I would have thought of this myself, but I wasn't sure if it was "weird" to invite someone to a wedding when you've only met them once. She told me I was silly, and asked the girl for me. Long story short, I have a date to
Kurt and Lisa's wedding
Kurt and Lisa's Wedding. Sweet. Anh is pestering me now, something about work...what a jerk.

...turn around to say, good morning to the night.
