Happy Budhist new year everyone. YOu may wonder why I know/care...well it's because It's 6 F^in AM, and I'm at work. Anh, one of the other team leads, who normally works this shift, is Vietnamese. SO he took the day off to celebrate the VC suprising the Hell out of the US...in almost the exact same way we surprised the British on Xmas. ANYWHO...Haven't updated in some time, so here goes.
PLanning on going back to school in September. Northeastern Illinois U. Filled out the AP, gotta contact the music dept so I can set up a audition time. A little nervous. Grades were a little under par when I left school, so we'll see. UM...
Lots of work. Socrates is going to be sent to Walmart soon. I've been told that, if one can ship to walmart without getting fined up the ass, one could ship anywhere with no problems. That's scary, considering Staples finds a way to fine us on just about everything we send. But I'm sure it will be an easy transition, being lead by the cool, calm, and collected "Jen Hall"**sarcasm dripping from the walls on that last comment***. Jen is the person who gave me a hundred bucks for Xmas, and still found a way for me to call her a Bitch the very same day. That takes some fucking talent. Also, I've kind of been put on point for the KLC tshirt fiasco. Let me explain...Knowledge Learning Center(KLC) also sometimes goes by the name of Childrens world Learning Center(CW). Well, NAPCO was sending Tshirts to all the centers for their staff. Well, the ones picking/packing/shipping the orders were UNAWARE that there were some that had KLC, and some that had CW. I'm not throwing blame here, its just that unless one knew to look for it, one would not notice such a difference. Anyway, when this was discovered(like when the centers called and said they had the wrong shirts) all hell broke loose. In the end, it was decided that the shirts are coming back here, then we're re-shipping the orders. So, someone with half a brain needs to be in charge so nothing gets fucked up again. Unfortunatly, there are none of those working for the company, so I was chosen as a suitable substitute. YOu might be thinking, "Why not the other supervisor"...there is a multitude of reasons, that I will not be getting into, for it could fill a blog of its own.
So back to the fact that it is 6 something in the morning, and not only am I awake, I am at work. Luckily...VERY LUCKILY...the guys who work this first shift are, on the whole, are the most reliable guys we have. It's not that I don't know how to do what Anh does, but its very nice to not have to spoon feed it to these guys. They know how it runs at this time in the day, so I don't have to freak out, a la Flea having a seizure(Bennigans reference). But Dayne, don't freak out, I am working, not just blogging. Hence it taking me so long to actually post this update. I guess thats all I have to say for now. Have a good one folkle.
